Scenery

I remember as a young girl when my family would go on vacations and road trips, mother would say, "Wake up girls, you've got to see the scenery."  I think this began my love of the beauties of this earth.  The majestic mountains, the long stretch of prairie grasses, the vastness of the ocean, the rolling hills full of summer crops, the different faces in the clouds, the abundance of flowers, wildlife, etc.  I found that I was saying the same thing to my children as we traveled.  And now, I smile as I hear them saying it to my grandchildren.
One of my most favorite hymns is "How Great Thou Art".

"O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder consider all the worlds thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder, Thy pow'r thruout the universe displayed.
When thru the woods and forest glades I wander, ard hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur and hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze...
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee, How great thou art!  How great thou art!

Yesterday Rich and I went through the Yellowstone and had a great day.  Here are some of the pictures of "our scenery" day.

Summer Time

                                                              I took these pictures yesterday

so I could sit, smile and remember...

when my world looks like this!

Wow, where to start. This summer has come and gone so quickly with too many changes. I have realized why I don't like to see U-Haul trucks. They only go one way. And this summer it has been away from us. Rachel and Bryant and Sadie have moved to Pennsylvania for P.A. School and last weekend we moved Heather, Monte, Abbie, Logan and Weston to Spokane Washington. My head tells me I'm happy for them and their new adventures, but my heart screams NOOOOOO! I guess I need to just buck up and think of the new places we get to visit and see. Thank goodness for Skpe!
Anyway, this blog is to write about thoughts, happenings and adventures. So hang in there for the ride with me.

P.S. Thanks Dan and Hil, Heidi and Amos, and Ben and Janae for staying put for now!
